Andy
Director
Left school at 16 and started his apprenticeship on August 1st 1988 with PL Taylor Electrical services.
Carried out a 4-year training programme to obtain the necessary electrical qualifications.
He worked as an electrician carrying out small domestic repairs and installations over the next three years before moving onto larger projects, including the refurbishment of public buildings and installation of larger, more complex industrial systems.
In 1996, Andy become a Director and his duties included the overseeing of large projects, liaising with clients and the general duties that are involded in running a business.
By 2002 Andy had progressed to Managing Director and has become a major shareholder in PL Taylor.

Steve
Director
Also left school at 16 and started his career in the electrical industry by carrying out a 4-year apperenticeship to obtain the necessary electrical qualitifications, before leaving his current employer and joining PL Taylor in 1992 as an electrician.
Steve carried out various projects and progressed to the role of Electrical Manager in 1999, carrying out the duties shown below on a day-to-day basis.

In 2008 he was appointed as a Director and has since been carrying out his previous duties along with overseeing contracts and developing the business.
Both Andy and Steve hold the industry appoved City & Guilds qualifications listed below:
- 2400 – Design, Erection and Verification
- 2391 – Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
- 2360 – Electrical Installation Practices Part 1 & 2
- 2377 – Portable Appliance Testing

Jackie
Office Manager
Jackie has worked in the office environment since leaving school at the age of 16. She started her career in London as an Office Junior and worked her way up in the office environment. In 2001 she joined PL Taylor as Office Assistant, after taking some time away from work to raise a family.
Jackie has been a committed, loyal and well respected member of PL Taylor ever since and is now our Office Manager.

Electricians
We currently employ 12 electricians – each of whom is qualified to the relevant electrical City & Guilds standards and is fully competent with all our policies.
Apprentices
As a company, we believe in investing for the future, and that each one of our apprentices holds the key to the long-running success of PL Taylor.
We send each of the apprentices to college on a day-release basis and train them for the relevant City & Guilds qualifications.
